Meet the Team

Nerina Nicotra

CEO and founder of Let It Beat Foundation

Nerina became an outstanding piece of America’s music scene after performing over eight years as a band member for legendary artist Luis Alberto Spinetta. Her talented input took place in many concerts featuring main rock artists like Fito Páez, Gustavo Cerati, and Charly García, among others. Her talent has earned her a Latin Grammy Award and 2 Carlos Gardel Awards.

She’s also been part of “Las Elegidas” (The Chosen) concerts, in many opportunities as one of the best female musician. Early in her career, she achieved a Music Degree at EMPA giving her a deep start as a Music Educator.

Nerina is currently the co-founder and Music Program Director of Let It Beat Music Academy.

 She is actively involved in music production, collaborations with industry leaders like Sony Music, and the development of innovative music education programs. She is passionate about nurturing young talent and creating opportunities for aspiring musicians to thrive. Nerina is also a key organizer of events and recitals, including exclusive album recording, artist sessions and develops the vehicle that drives emerging talent to success.”

Anna Casco

President , founder and Board Member of Let It Beat Foundation

Anna is a professional who has more than thirty years of experience in the financial industry, in which she held leadership positions and participated in important projects such as mergers and acquisitions, new systems and process implementations, project management, among others. 

Anna is passionate about philanthropic causes, and she is very involved in different community programs in Miami and abroad.

Mariana Medina

National and Regional Public and Media Relations Director

Mariana is an award-winning multicultural entertainment producer, specialized in Latino audiences, with over 20 years of experience in creating quality multi-platform original content for digital, broadcast and Pay-TV Networks. As part of her career she worked as HBO, Cinema, E!, MGM Networks & Fox Latin America TV Correspondent and Producer; Multimedia. 

Mariana also worked for Planeta Networks, and Warner Channel LatAm where she was a producer director and public relations manager. She is currently a producer, PR  & VO Artist.

Minerva Borjas Owen

Board Member of Let It Beat Foundation

Minerva (Vitaji) is a singer, songwriter, vocal producer, composer and TV Hostess living in Miami. She started her career at a very early stage and signed her first recording contract with “Hecho a Mano Discos” directed by Ricardo Montaner. The single “Déjame volar contigo” was positioned in the top rankings of the Venezuelan radio stations for 3 years. As singer, she shared the stage with artists like Chayanne, Sin Banderas, Carlos Baute, Bossa N’ Stones, Alejandro Sanz, Shakira, Karina, Servando y Forentino, Jorge Luis Chacin, among others

Minerva was also chosen to be one of the Vocal Coaches for The Voice Kids in Telemundo.

Waldo Madera

Board Member of Let It Beat Foundation

Waldo is a Live/Studio drummer & producer with 8 Grammys and over 30 years of experience. Waldo has worked live and/or in the studio with: Carlos Santana, Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin, Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Steve Stevens, Juanes, Alejandro Sanz, Juan Luis Guerra, Carlos Vives, Ricardo Montaner, Winton Marsalis, Tom Scott, Sheila E., Paquito D’ Rivera, Rosalia, Ed Calle, Arturo Sandoval and many more artists. Waldo studied jazz and commercial music at Manhattan school of music New York City   

Recorded on over 500 albums as a session musician and/or producer wining 6 Latin Grammy and 2 Grammy awards plus 17 nominations. 

Currently, he is a voting member of The Grammy and Latin Grammy academies as well as director of the drums department at Let It Beat Music Academy. He is a producer and sales rep for The Bay Kings Band; Session player for WM Production Studio Florida; Playing with the Waldo Madera Quintet and many of the household names in the Miami Jazz scene.
